About Gennevieve

Gennevieve Braden is a Nashville based multi-instrumentalist & vocalist.

Gennevieve’s first touring experience started at the age of 13 and has continued to this day, as she plays cello, keys, and vocals with various artists and bands at concerts, shows, and festivals. Singing before she could talk and writing her first songs on the piano as a toddler, her interest in the musical world was piqued from the start. A natural musician, Gennevieve began formal piano lessons at age four, and quickly added cello, clarinet, and saxophone.

Her creative and musical passions have been the driving force in her life. Growing up, she explored many genres, studying and performing in classical, jazz, rock, musical theatre orchestral pits, singing in choirs, and playing on worship teams. Gennevieve is also a lifetime dancer, at home on the stage. She has a particular talent for ballet; at age 18, she played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz ballet at Repertory Dance Theatre of Lehigh Valley. She attended Lehigh Valley Charter High School of the Arts in Bethlehem, PA before choosing to move to Nashville and pursue a professional music career.

Gennevieve is a graduating senior at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, majoring in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Composition & Arranging. Notably, she earned her place as a pianist in Belmont’s top Jazz Band I ensemble. She has also studied piano & cello at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales. Gennevieve continues to explore her musical passion in a variety of ways, including writing original music, creating arrangements for string ensembles, studio work, and accompanying a variety of artists.
